Who are we?
We’re a group of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about our local park and gardens.
At present our committee consist of;
Mike Goulden, the Chair and Lottery Bid and funding overseer.
Dave Cave, treasurer and creative director of our magazine Radipole Ripples.
Stuart Rowland known for his skills at liaising with other groups.
Last but nor least…moi. Sue Hogben, secretary, (secret Jaffa cake scoffer!).
We meet monthly to discuss park matters whilst partaking in a few munchies (Jaffa cakes) and quoffing a few cuppas.
There’s always that next event to be planned and promoted…not to mention the never ending fund-raising necessary to enable us to continue improving the park for our local community.
We are passionate about what we do, but as a fairly small team, most of a certain age, we would welcome with open arms any offers of help or support…of any kind.
The events we run in the gardens take much man (woman) handling of tents, erecting of gazebos,
hanging of bunting etc so any extra man/women power will always be very welcome and highly appreciated at set up and close down.
We are also always looking for bakers of biscuits, cakes and savouries to keep our refreshment tables laden with goodies at events, which are some of our best sellers and bring in much needed revenue to our fund-raising.
If you are willing and able to offer a spare hour or two to man a stall or help with activities in any way shape or form please get in touch via our website or mail us at
radipoleparkandgardensfriends@gmail.com
P.S As you’ll have noticed, we’re a camera shy bunch!

Hello Friends of Radipole Park. I’m interested to talk with your group regarding the Radipole Park Tennis facilities and creating a socially conscious public park tennis programme.

Hi Chris, sorry a reply took so long, I somehow inadvertently got locked out of my site! Think you and Mike had a great chat and seem to be on the same wavelength so fingers crossed. We have high hopes and big ideas. 😉
